Chillin in Hermanus

img_0588It has been a typical 3 weeks in Hermanus… blazing sunny days with the occasional crazy windy night and a rainy day or two thrown in for good measure… seafood, lamb, delicious bread and seaweed jelly… ocean water temperature ranging between a comfortable 17 Celsius (62 F) and a bone-chilling 11 Celsius (52 F)… hiking in the mountains, climbing in Kleinmond… daily wine tastings and New Year’s on the beach, black tie and barefoot. Janet and I also did some whale watching and made a trek out to Cape Town in the Jerling’s 1960-something land rover to drop off furniture in the loft apartment where we will be staying until late January, starting tomorrow.
