Alabama Hills Again
I am camping at Movie Road outside of Lone Pine again. The weather is perfect the scenery is stunning and Thep & Amiey and Janet visited last weekend. Lone Pine is getting ready to host the Lone Pine Film Festival next weekend and the whole town is busy with preparations. They have been smoothing out the dirt roads leading to various filming locations from old western movies. Yesterday one of the locals dropped off two information signs at my rv. Apparently I am camped where scenes from Border Treasure / 1950 and Along the Great Divide / 1951 were shot. I am leaving on Thursday to make room for the festival.
