Ashes Everywhere

img_4808So, we thought we were clear of all the fires. But it so happens that Mother Nature has other plans for us. On Thursday lightning struck about 8 miles west of Ketchum and started a forest fire. Yesterday evening the winds picked up and the fire went from 400 acres to 6500 acres and traveled north, closer to us. We took these pictures during that time and found out this morning what we had been watching and how close it really is. Here is the local news on the fire….

and of course the official fire updates…

Our fire is the “Castle Rock” fire.

btw- I have officially hijacked Andre’s blog for the next week or two while he is working away.

Andre “working”!? Whaaaa…???

Gavin, I would’ve responded earlier but I was too busy working. Luckily we just got chased from our camp spot by the fire so I won’t be working much for the rest of the day:)
