Gone Backpacking

Tomorrow Janet and I are going backpacking for 1 or maybe 2 nights on the Teton Crest Trail. We are hoping to get a closer look at the Grand Teton which is in the works for next weekend. I will use my new Ajax tracking system for this trip and even though the mechanics are working ok (while I have a cell phone signal for uploading data) it needs a lot more prettying up, so excuse the chaos for now.

Jenny and Jackson Lake, West Thumb, Yellowstone in general, is beautiful country. We have been there for vacation twice. Staying in Jackson hole once and then in West Yellowstone the last time. Might be more possibilities for you there camping wise. You should get some great pictures. You can also take the tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain and hike back down. It is 7.2 miles but all downhill. I did that when we were there. My legs were very sore the next day!

Ron, the scenery around here are terrific indeed. I hear you about the sore legs.

After reading about your recent hike i can see you do! 25 miles, you both must be in pretty good condition to complete that…along with some good willpower!

When is your next hike? ;)
