Fishing on the Green River
My fly fishing attempt on the Green was less than spectacular. This had nothing to do with the huge fish that kept leaping over my fishing rod but more with my lack of mimicking-a-helpless-bug-floating-in-the-current skills.
I do have pictures to prove that I am not completely useless and I hope to improve on my next attempt… maybe next week. I also went mountain biking to check out the Big Brush Gorge which turned out much more spectacular than expected. I should not be surprised as this is Utah after all and even a non-descript canyon in Utah can be quite impressive anywhere else.
The dreary town of Vernal is 9 switchbacks down the hill and my closest food and water supply. Their biggest claim to fame seem to be the nearby Dinosaur National Monument, hence the funny dinos that front each business.
