Do my eyes deceive me or is that duct tape that I see in pic img_4872. I knew duct tape could fix just about everything but…!
Ha ha, my RV is basically held together with duct tape. Magic.
Andre, don’t you ever check your tyres BEFORE a trip? They don’t just explode without fairly good warning (unless they are on a certain type of Ford).
Andy, I check them often but everyday is a trip for me. This time the thread came off and cut open the underside of the rv’s slide. It also completely destroyed the fender and chopped of the drain cover. Worst is the tire has less than 10k miles on it and is less than a year old!
Hello, I found your blog through a site called rvthereyet.cc. This site has posted a long list of RV blogs, including yours and mine as well. I’ve clicked on a few of the links there and have enjoyed reading some of your recent posts. I particularly like your photography.
I wonder if you would be interested in trading links with me? My site details the camping adventures I have with my wife and two small boys. The site is caled The Camping Machine and you can see it at www.thecampingmachine.com. Thanks very much for your time and your very nice website.
Love the picture updates. I’ll have to read some more about your setup.
Spent some time in Cortez last year with my trailer. Great area.
Sorry to hear about the tire. Friends I traveled with last year lost one shortly after Teton Pass. The bolts had been over torqued by a mechanic days before!
Were they retreads?? What do you think caused it? Wow, 10k on seemingly good tires and they blow…! Guess it is just good it wasn’t worse and you and janet are okay and still enjoying life.
Ron, no it was a new poly tire. I monitor the tire pressure regularly (very important on heavy trailers) and drive pretty slow. Has similar experiences last year but on older tires. Oh well.

We’re happy to see that you and Janet are okay….At least now you have some new pics to put up in your changing tire page…
