Live Cam is Live

My live cam is live. Whenever I am stationary for a couple of days and have my satellite hooked up I will have it running. Right now it is showing a new storm brewing over the Sierra with the strong winds and clouds growing ominously in the pic sequence. The user interface needs a lot of improvement but after a frustrating css layout coding effort I decided this will have to do for now. The more important functionality is the AJAX engine driving the whole contraption with automatic updates. Feel free to make suggestions for improvements / new features. I will try to improve the ui while working on my next project.

Beautiful scenery. Wish i was there enjoying it now instead of slaving away here…

Andre, I can echo Ron’s comments. It looks great, any chance of a larger view? It wouldn’t have to be as large as my favorite webcam here, from the top of Mt Wilson:

I really like the Sierra view from your bedroom window….a pity though that I don’t see any kudu or wildebeest—-and no bateleur in the sky?

Andre—-how about including a recipe for the delicious bobotie you are known to make under your ‘recipes’ heading?

Louise, I bought more curry the other day and I still have half a jar of chutney left. Can you please send me the recipe again - bobotie will be perfect for my recipe list.

There is some wildlife visible in “Livecam” shot # 4097 dated 4/21.

Hi Paul, good to hear from you. I will need a wider angle lense for a wider view - something you not likely to get with a cheapo camera.

I see you need a bobotie recipe. Watch out for a delicious bobotie recipe from Heidelberg, South Africa soon.

Lou - good to hear from you. My mouth is watering for that bobotie recipe of yours. Please forward before my chutney runs out.
