Owens Valley
The filming of Iron Man by Jim Carrey eventually forced me to leave Movie Road but not before I had visitors from South Africa - Nic and Nancia and Janet from Orange County. We checked out the film museum in Lone Pine and did some hiking on the Mount Whitney trail. Nic and Nancia left for Lake Tahoe and Noelle joined us in Bishop where I set up camp in the Buttermilks next to McGee Creek. We are having a great time with hard climbing in the Owens Gorge, snowball fights in the Sierras and a little soaking in the natural hot springs which dot the landscape all over the Owens.
