Lycium Wash

img_4549Today I hooked up with Brian and gang for 8 hours and 12 miles through Split Mountain and Lycium Wash in Anza Borrego State Park. As Southern California winters go, today was quite warm and a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a lot of water were essential. We made a quick detour to the Wind Caves and then went hunting for the very rare oysters of Oyster Wash – yeah right. The sun was beating down on us and we took regular breaks in the shady spots as we continued up Lycium Wash. Nice views from the top before descending back down to the cars. The trip is viewable on the Live Tracking page. Put the map in ‘hybrid’ or ‘satellite’ mode for a better perspective and ignore the bugs still lingering on the interface.
