A trip to the Bush
My dad Andre and I (yes, Andre x 2) arrived at SabiePark on Sunday afternoon. Soon after arriving we headed for the pool to escape the heat of the lowveld but a thunderstorm chased us back to our rondawel. It was a rainy affair and I was surprised at the dramatic drop in temperature. On Monday we drove through the Klasserie Game Reserve which has no fences on the border with the Kruger Park. It always is very special to see African animals in the wild and except for Lion and Leopard we saw all of the Big 5 and much more. The whole trip is viewable from the Live Tracking page (Dec 10 / 11) but I decided to add some high quality SLR camera photos which is viewable by clicking on the ‘Continue reading’ button below.
Louise with Rebecca and her two grand kids, Lesedi and Malopi. After their mom died unexpectedly Lesedi lived with us for a year before Rebecca could retire as our housemaid. They came to visit for my dad’s 60th birthday party.
Sundowners on the Sabie River. The electric fence is to keep Elephants and Hippos from destroying everything.
Cape Buffalo not to be confused with Water Buffalo. Infamous as the most dangerous animal to hunt in Africa - if you were into such atrocities.
This Baobab tree is an estimated 1500 years old. Elephants love to eat the fruit and are notorious for damaging these graceful giants.

Jeez, it seems you are in the heaven. Unbelievable!
