A trip to the Bush


My dad Andre and I (yes, Andre x 2) arrived at SabiePark on Sunday afternoon. Soon after arriving we headed for the pool to escape the heat of the lowveld but a thunderstorm chased us back to our rondawel. It was a rainy affair and I was surprised at the dramatic drop in temperature. On Monday we drove through the Klasserie Game Reserve which has no fences on the border with the Kruger Park. It always is very special to see African animals in the wild and except for Lion and Leopard we saw all of the Big 5 and much more. This Baobab tree is an estimated 1500 years old. Elephants love to eat the fruit and are notorious for damaging these graceful giants.
