I had mine within the first 3 seconds of my first ever kite surfing attempt. Denis brought his kite surfing gear with to Bahia de Los Angeles and after a great run to the lighthouse it was Jim’s and my turn. This should be easy right? After all I regularly strap myself to a much bigger kite (paraglider). My launch was shaky and I got dragged over rocks submerged in shallow water, promptly bruising my heels and breaking a toe. After things

stabilized I flew the kite for a while before passing the reigns to Jim who managed to avoid injury. When learning to kite surf one first have to get a feel for the kite before jumping on the board. I felt it all right!

Hey Andre, did anyone in your group have any hair on their head? You sound as about accident prone as me!

Oh that is funny! While Denis and I are hairless veterans I am not sure how Jim will feel about that comment :)

I’m sure Jim won’t care because all the hair that has fallen off the top of his head has miraculously appeard on his arms, chest and back. The amazing thing is there seems to be more hair gain on his body than loss on his head…..and they say matter and energy cannot be created.

Now that is funny!
